Strengthening and expanding cooperation across all sectors and among various stakeholders is key to further advancing bilateral relations between Cambodia and China, according to Professor Yang Jiemian, President Emeritus and Chairman of the Academic Advisory Council of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS).

Professor Yang expressed his sincere gratitude to the Prime Minister for receiving him and praised Cambodia’s continued development, as well as the leadership of Samdech Thipadei and the Royal Government for prioritising the interests of the people and ensuring that they benefit tangibly from the country’s development.
He expressed confidence that Cambodia would continue to make steady progress under the Prime Minister’s leadership, despite ongoing changes and uncertainties in the global situation.
Professor Yang encouraged more exchanges of visits between research institutions in Cambodia and China, along with regular dialogues to share experiences, perspectives and major national development policies.
He noted that studying, discussing and comparing the economic growth paths of the two countries would provide valuable knowledge and insights for their leaders to draw lessons from each other’s experiences and best practices, thereby improving the effectiveness of their respective development efforts.
In response, Samdech Thipadei warmly welcomed Professor Yang’s participation in the international conference on the New World Order in Cambodia.
The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of continuity and consistency in Cambodia’s foreign policy across bilateral, regional and international frameworks.
